That is where the normal electrical meter comes in to play.
Introduction: — An electric meter is a small electric device that can be found in our homes or offices. It is generally mounted on the wall outside or inside the premises. This little thing measures how much electricity we are using over time. Knowing how this meter works and how to read it are vitally important to us. You can track your electricity usage if you know how to read the meter. This enables us to avoid receiving a shock bill at the end of the month.

The second one indicates how many units you currently have at that time. To read it, you just glance at the digits on the screen.
Other uses of a basic electricity meter are to identify appliances that consume too much energy. Some appliances may be old or relatively ineffective, causing them to consume excess electricity. And if you notice that some appliances are drawing lots of electricity, you can unplug them when they're not in-use or even replace them with new, energy-efficient models. This saves you money while doing your part for the environment.
